The occurrence of racial discrimination in a person’s life can affect their motivation towards academic education this directly changes the development of the success of the individual (Tynes, Toro, and Lozada 407-424). In the year 1920 a military experiment was done by Thorndike were it proved to be true that the physical characteristics of the men reflected the ratings from their generals. The common results in thinking of the halo effect are that if an individual was attractive then the contents of their character would be attractive as well. More than often this is false where although the person is attractive on the outside the inside would be rotten and vain. There is absolutely no way to judge a person’s true intent of their heart without sitting down to have a meaningful conversation with them. Only gathering information by a person outside looks and using that data to infer about a person’s personality is wrong. A person does not have to be an employee to judge.
